As we are all aware, there is a growing public health risk surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and we are closely monitoring the situation, including closures and cancellations in our community.
Exotic Vet Care will continue to maintain our normal schedule, with your safety and wellness as our priority. Of course, we will continue to sanitize our treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments between patients. In addition, we have appointed a staff member who is focused on cleaning and disinfecting shared surfaces such as doorknobs, restrooms, furniture, and our front counter throughout the day.
In order to maintain wellness among our clients and staff, we are asking you to please remain home if you or someone in your household is showing flu-like symptoms or not feeling well. We require our employees to remain home, as well, if they begin showing symptoms or running a fever.
When possible, we ask that only one pet owner accompanies a pet to the hospital for appointments or emergencies.
We are being proactive in our handling of this situation and are implementing curbside services for clients in an attempt to create social distancing.
When you come for your appointment, if you’re uncomfortable waiting in our lobby, just let us know and we can call or text you in your vehicle to let you know we’re ready for you.
For your safety and convenience, you may prepay by phone for your medications or diets, call us when you arrive in the parking lot and one of our staff members will bring the medication out to you. Many medications can be mailed to your home if you prefer.
Protective items such as masks, gowns, and gloves may be worn by staff members during an interaction. Please do not be alarmed; this is done as a precaution.
These are uncertain times for all of us and circumstances are subject to change. Together, we will get through this.
Rest assured that we will continue to do everything possible to keep Exotic Vet Care a safe and healthy environment for you and all our patients and staff.
