Here at Birds and Exotics Animal Care, we cater to the special needs of exotic pets.  We limit our clientele to birds and exotic animals.  Our patients include all types of parrots and birds including pet ducks, chickens and pigeons; all small mammals including rabbits, ferrets, sugar gliders, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, rats and mice; all reptiles and amphibians including lizards, frogs, salamanders, all nonvenomous snakes, turtles and tortoises; fish; wildlife kept as pets including skunks, opossums, squirrels, etc.  We see potbellied pigs while still small and will spay or neuter a young potbellied pig, but once they reach their adult size they exceed our equipment's capacity and will need to be tended by a farm vet.  Injured or ill wildlife not kept as a pet should be taken to Pet Vet, which is a clinic licensed to care for wildlife that will take in and treat wildlife at no charge and then place the animal with a rehabber who will continue its care until it is ready to release back to the wild.  Pet Vet can be reached at 843-884-7387.
